Marla Borunda

Customer Service Representative

Marla is originally from Plymouth, North Carolina, where she lived until graduating high school. She then moved to Greenville to attend East Carolina University, earning a dual master’s degree in 2007. A lifelong sports enthusiast, Marla played softball and volleyball through school and continued playing softball on local rec teams after moving to Greenville.

She now lives in Ayden, NC, with her husband, John, their daughter, Mia, and their dog, Roxy. Marla and John will celebrate seven years of marriage in January, and Mia recently turned seven in October.

Marla joined Spicer Financial in August 2025 and loves being part of a team that truly cares about helping others. She supports clients with their life insurance needs—whether that means answering questions, providing guidance, or helping them secure coverage for the future.

Outside of work, Marla enjoys crafting, relaxing at the beach, and cheering on Mia at soccer and dance. She’s also hoping to travel more in the years ahead.
